This year Michael Kershaw our Managing Director visited the fair to foster relationships with key players in the industry.
Crossmuller has developed an ERP type Industry Solution for companies who manufacture kitchens, vanities, furniture and other wood based products. The solution is in the form of a product named Small Business MOM. Built on Wonderware’s core MES technology, combined with a Cloud based capability the solution is a first in this market space, and gives companies access to big business functionality at a small business price.
SBMOM
SB MOM is ideal for any organisation which has adopted CAD CAM as its design and build tool. The MOM product allows companies to handle everything associated with Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Inventory Management, Production Scheduling, Job Tracking, right through to Despatching and Invoicing of their CAD designed wood products.
At the LIGNA Fair Michael met with over 20 CAD CAM software houses. In all cases the message received was very clear. The industry needs to better manage the actual production process.
Homag Partnership
Michael also met with the leading Woodworking Equipment Manufacturer, HOMAG. The Homag Group have been working towards extending their offer to the market via the addition of real time servicing of their machines, which includes remote monitoring and the supply of online troubleshooting, and the rapid response to the supply of spare parts to their customers base.
In the software space Homag has rebranded both CAD CAM and Optimisation applications, to further extend their offer to end users. With the concept of SB MOM Michael has been able to open the conversation of a potential rebranding of the MOM solution with Homag. Although early in discussions, the Homag team are keen to expand their offer to the market and are actively looking for a MES type expansion to their portfolio.
